Achiever Supported Accommodation

We provide high-quality supported accommodation for young people across England

Our expert support is tailored to the needs of young people and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We provide single occupancy and shared accommodation (non-ring fenced) for looked-after children or care leavers aged 16 or 17 with a range of person-centred support services.

This involves giving young people greater independence to master a wide range of essential life skills including budgeting, cleaning, and cooking to prepare them for fully independent living.

We also provide supported accommodation for young people aged 18 and over, as well as outreach services for those who require additional support in their own homes.

We are proud to be an Ofsted registered provider of supported sccommodaiton.

Local teams with strong, central back-up

Our supported accommodation services are available across England, with local teams led by dedicated Registered Service Managers (Area Operations Managers) and supported by robust finance and administrative services.

Our local teams are experienced in supporting:

  • Young people with challenging behaviour (such as drug or alcohol misuse, a history of violence, serious and/or persistent offending and mental health needs)
  • Children leaving care (from rising 16-year-olds to post-18)
  • Vulnerable young people aged 16 to 17
  • Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (“UASC”) aged 16-17 years
  • Young people aged 18 and over with mental health needs
  • Expectant mothers and parents with children
  • Young people involved in gangs
  • Victims of child sexual exploitation

We also provide outreach and on-call services for young people not living in Achiever Supported Accommodation homes who need additional help and support.

Both Achiever Residential Services and Achiever Supported Accommodation work collaboratively to offer young people a semi-independent home which is hopefully the next step in their journey to independence.

Local Bases

While our supported accommodation may be spread across towns and regions, every project is home to a local base where you’ll find our colleagues at work. This secure venue provides a safe place for the young people to visit for help and support, or just a friendly chat.

Feels like Home

Our supported accommodation comes fully furnished and well equipped – making it feel like just like home from the minute they walk through the door. We want the young people to feel respected and cared for, building positive relationships and engagement from day one.

Bright Futures

Our work is underpinned by the principles of trauma-informed care and psychologically informed environments, and we specialise in support for young people with complex needs and a history of trauma and adversity.
